Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I have a list too long to say everything I am thankful for, but lets just say that my wonderful family, fabulous friends, and adoring boyfriend are right at the top of the list. :)

This will be the first time in a while that I have not gone out of town for the holidays with my dad. For the past few years Nashville has always been our destination, but this year we've decided to relax at home. Doesn't mean I won't try to find some good shopping deals tomorrow!!

God Bless!

Goodbye my "friends"

I read a witty little Cosmopolitan write-up on what qualifies someone to be "unfriended" on facebook, and while some of them are for laughing purposes, I decided to make my own top 5 irking reasons to delete:

1. Constant relationship status updates. Unless you are married or newly engaged, I don't want to know how many times you and dude broke up and then made up in that day.

2. We went to high school yet the only connection we have of each other since the "glory days" is the fact that I receive random status updates on my mini feed. Delete.

3. You are a friend of a friend of a friend of a cousin's neighbor, twice removed in the family.

4. No one wants to know the song and lyrics to what is making you depressed right now.

5. Men and women that are twice my age trying to add me on FB....really???

"T. I. G. E. R. S. TIGERS"

Let me first explain that I was about a hair away from going to a SEC school, namely Ole Miss. But silly me stayed here for a boy, and although the boy is long gone, I have grown to love the decision I made many moons ago.

If I wasn't for him, I would have probably never attended the University of Memphis. Imagine my Dad's side of the family when they heard the news - they are all HUGE Memphis fans! (My Mom's side is the lover of Ole Miss Rebels) My grandmother, who played basketball in high school, has been a fan of the Memphis Basketball program since the mid 1950's, promptly raising us to sit in front of the TV each season to watch our team get better and better.

Now, I've told you that to tell you this....any Memphis fan can tell you about the heartbreak we received when our beloved Coach Cal decided to leave us. It wasn't until later that I finally realized that I was a TIGERS fan - not a COACH Cal fan. We have done great things before him, and we will do great things after him. Coach Pastner has shown superior effort for this team, and I see this season as a great successor for the "Coach Cal Era." The Tigers' 2010 class has already been ranked No. 2 by Scout.com, No. 2 The Sporting News, No. 2 by Rivals.com, No. 3 by ESPN and No. 3 by Prepstars.

Now, I've heard a lot of smack talking for opposing fans about how Memphis will get their butts kicked during tonight's game versus number one basketball team, Kansas. Whether or not that's true, remains to be unseen.

Win or lose, will I still be a tiger fan? Why, of course!

Halloween fun

Halloween doesn't just have to be about dressing up and parties, does it?

In order to try something new this year, my boyfriend, Cory, and I decided to have a nice date night and carve some pumpkins. Much smack talk later, we decided to make a contest out of it...you can decide the winners.

Of course, I think MY pumpkin carved to resemble a ghostly castle looks the best. That being said, I did have the unfortunate mishap of a steeple breaking off and having to work around the disaster.

Errie I know...

Cory chose to do a weird face peering out from behind blinds. Eh, his is ok....

Eh, I've seen better...

Also, I heard from my sister that the Halloween costumes she made for my nieces were a huge hit. My sister is pretty dang creative as you can see.

Ava Grace, the little ladybug
And what could Ava Grace be paired with other than her little sister, Autumn Marie, as a potted plant??
The cutest sunflowers I've ever seen.
