Flashback

I don't know why but lately I've been reminiscing about when I first had a facebook.
I was only a freshman in college (when only college students could have it, btw), and the only photos we had on there were scanned on images of our high school days.
Kinda like this one.
And yes, I posted noted and rolled my friend's car...she skipped out on plans with me and Milly for her boyfriend...and then she caught us mid action. We were really mature.
College through graduation brought along all the rush, bid day, and other sorority event photos.
This was from my senior year and I planned the bid day being that I was the New Member Director for my sorority. Best bid day ever.
Post college brought along everyone getting engaged and me nearly going broke on purchasing presents.
Now when I log onto facebook, everyone is posting their wedding photos and their kids or their future kids.
This little peanut is named Keller, and his proud owner is my BFF from high school, Amelia. And if you remember, she's the chick I rolled cars with in the first photo!
Girls (not much) younger than me are now having kids. Craziness!

As for me, the only weddings posted to my wall are ones I've attended and the only babies I hold on a regular basis are my two nieces. (And I'm about to have a nephew!)
But you know, I'm ok with the slower pace my life has given me.
I got my man, my family, my friends, and my kooky pets.
And that's all that really matters. :)

Gobble Gobble...

...says the vegetarian.
Regardless I'm hoping by this time, y'all are all stuffed into carb comas.
I know I am.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Why do you have to be so expensive???

I'm in love.

xoxo,

It's that time of the year...

and Christmas has officially hit my house!
Yeah, yeah, I know. It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I rather let my nieces enjoy the tree and decorations longer than just a month and some change.
Speaking of which, I wrapped my nieces and some other pre-Christmas shopping gifts to stick under the tree.
I don't have lights out front, but I'm not running short on having a huge country Christmas Santa to decorate my front door.
And before I forget, Jerry wanted to say "ohhh, haiiiiiiiiiiiiiii."

Anyone else have up their Christmas decorations early?

Product Review: November Birchbox

Hello gals,

Another month, another Birchbox delivery.

Can I just be honest? I wasn't really impressed with my first box. I guess I was expecting more pizazz than a bunch of hand, face, and foot creams and oils, but of course, I probably just signed up at a random month for the "it's winter time and you need to hydrate" box. But I can say this, all the products were great.

But never the less, I was really excited when I received this month's box.

We Are All Guilty of It...

so why not have a good laugh about it.
If I wrote this, I would have only added one thing - movie and tv spoilers.
Gah, those make my skin crawl...

Lovey, Dovey Stuff: How I Met Cory

A long, long, long, long, time ago I met Cory.
Six years today to be exact.
At a club on Beale Street. A CLUB.

Yeah, I'll even admit it wasn't exactly what I thought my dream fairytale would be like growing up.
But regardless of how we met, I can't say I regret going to Beale Street that night for our "first dance."

more Beale Street shenanigans (i.e. we thought we were cool and funny)

Who knew how fast six years would fly?

Weekday Happies

Small things that make me smile through the week...

Target busted out their holiday corner.
My favorite part of pre Christmas shopping is choosing the paper I'm going to wrap the gifts in!

I made some purchases for my hair arsenal.
Nexus Pro-Mend Split End Repair
This came as a recommendation from a coworker,
and it really does wonders to my ends...considering I haven't had a trim in 5 months.
But what sold me - it smells awesome too.
Macadamia Oil Conditioner
I saw Think Classy talking about this on twitter, but have yet to try it.
I used tissue paper when in a pinch to wrap a present
with spare yarn for homemade tassels and the tissue scraps to make the pom pom.
and my best friend from high school unveiled her new photography website this week!
Amelia with Studio Milly Jean Weakleg is such a talent,
and I can't wait to use her services on my big day...one day, that is.

Weekday Happies

The little things helping me make it through my week.

My lovely, new gold chain bracelet from Anthropologie.
Totally vamping up my collection.
helping a dear friend with her amazing business of pretty paper
Rebecca is not only amazing at her craft, but she is also a complete peach in conversation.
If you want to check out her website, it's called Three By Me.

and Tiger basketball is back!
The first exhibition game was last night. And we won. By 52 points. NBD.

DIY: Glitter the Pumpkins

Ok, I confess...I have an unnatural affection for Martha Stewart's glitter collection.
There's just so many colors!

Instead of carving pumpkins this year, I thought I would use my two favorite craft tools, spray paint and glitter, to make a little decor in the meantime.
Boom.

I'm sure you can already tell how the craftiness ensued without having a full on DIY instruction.
But just in case -
1. Spray paint pumpkin with a shiny, copper spray paint. This helps you not using so much glitter.
2. Glue everywhere. I used modge podge and a sponge paint brush.
3. BRING ON THE GLITTER!
4. Enjoy vacuuming said glitter until after Thanksgiving. Which is precisely the same date my pumpkin will finish his run as my decoration.
