Last of Christmas Shopping Countdown!

Ok, ok, so I'm very a little late on  keeping up with my Christmas countdown shopping blog. At least I do have the excuse of just recently graduating! So, please forgive me of my tardiness, but in the meantime I have found some of the latest gifts even the latest of buyers would be interested in. Enjoy!

MAC Cosmetics "Morning, Noon, and Knight" Everything Eye Brushes Kit is perfect for the makeup lover such as myself. Includes all brushes needed to create a soft, daytime eye and the sultry, smoky eyes for a night look.

I found these Nick and Nora owl pajamas at Target a couple of weeks back, and I love them! So cute and comfortable.

When someone says fingerless gloves, most people think of a man riding his Harley with leather chaps...so not the deal with these beauties! As an avid texter, I need something that will keep my hands warn yet won't make me take them off every 5 seconds in between texts. That's where Free People's "Doubs Fingerless" gloves help! These are adorable and come in different colors: grey (shown), black, red and eggplant.

True Blood season 1 on DVD. You will get addicted. Enough said.

Definitely my favorite magazine, any women who loves crafting, cooking or simple tricks to maintaining a home will love a subscription to this.

Happy Shopping and Merry Christmas, ya'll!

Day 17 & 18: Owl Pillows, Glee Soundtrack & Uggs

How adorable are these pillows!? I found them at the Etsy shop Manic Muffin Totes. You should definitely check out her stuff for the owl lover in your life.

I absolutely adore the show Glee! I already have this soundtrack permanently playing in my car as it is, and listening to it makes me feel like I can belt out show tunes just like Rachel (only in my car of course).

I don't care what anyone thinks...I will wear these shoes until they stop making them. They are the most comfortable shoes ever!!

Day 17: Stirrupz

We have all been there...we finally get up the courage to buy our now favorite skinny jeans only to find that the knee length shoes we so desperately want to wear with them create huge bulges around our ankles and knees.

Not anymore! Introducing Stirrupz. This miracle product may look silly, but it seriously works to fixing those awkward bulges skinny jeans can bring. And say goodbye to the bulky socks or rubber bands.

Happy Shopping,

Day 16: Sugar Paper's 2010 Audrey Desk Calander

I've always loved Sugar Paper's shop and this posh desk calender is no exception. Known for it's stylish and sophisticated Los Angeles designs, it encompasses two of my favorite things - quatrefoils and cute paper - and comes packaged in a stylish cigar box with the silver stand.

As an additional bonus to their website, Sugar Paper can also inform you of the traditional rules for postage etiquette.

Happy Shopping,

Day 15: Antique Vintage Mirrors

I'm a total sucker for anything vintage or what down in the South is also referred to as "shabby chic," and while patrolling across Plasticland's website, I found these adorable antique vintage mirrors. I would love to decorate a lovely foyer with these beauties. And for only $43 bucks, they are a great steal!
Happy Shopping,

Day 14: Smith's Rosebud Lip Salve

I love, love, LOVE this product. Found at Sephora for practically pocket change, this amazing balm not only refreshes my lips during this dry winter weather, I also rub some on my cuticles to keep them fresh. It also advertises its ability to cool burns and provide moisture for dry skin.

Happy Shopping,

Phi Mu Tacky Christmas Party

Each year, my lovely sisters and I break out our mother's (and sometime our very own) dreadful Christmas sweaters to play Dirty Santa at our annual Christmas party. Sadly, this year's would also be my last. I love these girls. :)

Ainslie and I look goooooooood.

Extra cheesy for the Christmas card photo

This is from last year's party...I was a Christmas tree :)
Santa came to deliver a huge gift under the Christmas tree. I wish I could say that we planned this...but we didn't.

Hope everyone has fun at all their Christmas parties!

xoxo,

Day 13: J.Crew Crystal Lattice Necklace

I absolutely LOVE this J. Crew necklace. Not the cheapest of J. Crew apparel, but a poor college grad could still dream, right?

Happy Shopping,

Day 12: Fashionable Headbands

I found this lovely headband from a handy little lady at Etsy. Very cute! Check out her web store, Little White Dresser, HERE.

Day 11: Chanel Lip Gloss

This wonderful lip gloss is my favorite for every occassion. Chanel's "Manifique" is just how it sounds, and is perfect for all skins tones. Not too dark, yet not too pink, it adds a subtle glossy color to the lips - something anyone would enjoy in this brisk winter weather.

Day 10: Sookie Stackhouse Books

Unless you have been living under a rock, shows and movies are booming with the new found love of vampires. Whether you are old school "Interview with a Vampire" fan or pine over pale Robert Pattinson in the Twilight series, you would love the Sookie Stackhouse book series that has gained fame from the HBO adaptation known as True Blood.

I never started watching the show until season 2 came out, and by then my twitter feed was flooded with tweets about how great it was. Definitely something I'm glad I checked out. My boss was the one who told me about the books, and she loves them.

Fair warning though - if you are going to start watching the show, HBO is definitely not rated G. They cuss, they drink, they do their thing, if you must ask...but the story is amazing! Prepare to get addicted.

Continued Christmas Shopping

Sorry I've been away for so long, ya'll. Finals are just around the corner AND I'm about to graduate! With that being said, I want to continue my 25 Days of Christmas Shopping blog, and I've found some great gifts in the meantime.

Anyone who loves to tease hair has just found their new best friend - the Battalia Celcon Teasing Comb 806. A big name to go with your big hair. It's 3 prong format lets you add extra lift with ease. And I found mine for only $8 at my hair salon = STEAL!

I love these "Hey Now" Blowfish Boots for jazzing up a pair of skinny jeans on the days I just want to go a little more casual. Super comfy and come with a hidden zipper on the inside...just in case you thought I would really button up all those buttons each time I wear them.

I love this show. Enough said. Unfortunately for the fans who agree with me, the official last season is airing February 2010. Watch the first series, and I guarantee you will be hooked with all the twists and turns!

I've already told you about this miracle product before (HERE), and I still continue to use it to this day. Moroccan Oil has seriously saved my hair and gets rid of my frizz without leaving a greasy, "need to wash my hair again" feeling. Love it and all other Moroccan Oil products.

4th day of Christmas Shopping!

Coming home to work today, I was suprised by an array of gifts that were in the living room with MY name on them. :) That's when I remembered that because (sadly) I am going to alum soon from Phi Mu, I will also be receiving "secret sister" gifts until our Alumnae ceremony this Sunday night. I already could tell my first secret sis would be my very own little sister, Caroline, because, well, I just know! haha

One of my gifts would definately be something I would want to share with ya'll, or anyone who also shares a deep love for anything Lilly Pulitzer.

Tada! The Lilly Pulitzer Address and Phone Book in the "Yeah Baby" print. So cute for tallying all my addresses in one sweet place, which will definately help me with sending gifts for future holidays and birthdays.

On the 3rd day of Christmas Shopping

I am a handbag-oholic. Well, handbags is a rather "small" term. I love huge, big, pack your house in your purse bags. And more importantly, or shamefully, I love EXPENSIVE, huge, big, pack your house in your purse bags. I mean, what woman wouldn't love carrying a drool worthy bag around town. But I found something that is easily as stylish AND under $100. Welcome the Big Buddha Monterey Bag. I prefer it in "Mustard," (shown first) but it also comes in chocolate brown and black.

The slouchy bag can be angled on the arm or can be adjusted for over the shoulder ease. The cheapest I found it was for a sale price of $76, but should be no more than $85. Loves it!

25 Days of Shopping

I've decided that instead of making a wishlist of everything I could possibly want this year for my friends and family, I would instead muse everyone by making a 25 Days of Shopping Countdown for Christmas. Since the idea hasn't hit me until today I will post 2 awesome products that I'm sure any classy gal would enjoy. :)
Where would a girl do with out her planner? I personally LOVE the MyAgenda which comes in an array of colors and you can also personalize them.

Right now they are also carrying free shipping, and for all the dutiful mothers or hardcore babysitters in your life, you can also get the MomAgenda version, which comes with child specific sections.

One of my favorite holiday movies would just happen to be named "The Holiday." I love all of Cameron Diaz's clothes and her cute hairstyle (which I could NEVER pull off!). But from the moment it caught my eye, I wanted the necklace she wears in the beginning of the movie with her white pajamas. Called the Shake Necklace by Renee Lewis, it can be summed up in two words: stunning and unique. But unless you want to spend the $12,000 it costs, I found an equally beautiful one at Stella Sheen called the Bebbre Shake Necklace.

What's great about this particular necklace is that it can be custom designed with whomever you have in mind and only a fraction of the Renee Lewis price! Below is an example:

Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I have a list too long to say everything I am thankful for, but lets just say that my wonderful family, fabulous friends, and adoring boyfriend are right at the top of the list. :)

This will be the first time in a while that I have not gone out of town for the holidays with my dad. For the past few years Nashville has always been our destination, but this year we've decided to relax at home. Doesn't mean I won't try to find some good shopping deals tomorrow!!

God Bless!

Goodbye my "friends"

I read a witty little Cosmopolitan write-up on what qualifies someone to be "unfriended" on facebook, and while some of them are for laughing purposes, I decided to make my own top 5 irking reasons to delete:

1. Constant relationship status updates. Unless you are married or newly engaged, I don't want to know how many times you and dude broke up and then made up in that day.

2. We went to high school yet the only connection we have of each other since the "glory days" is the fact that I receive random status updates on my mini feed. Delete.

3. You are a friend of a friend of a friend of a cousin's neighbor, twice removed in the family.

4. No one wants to know the song and lyrics to what is making you depressed right now.

5. Men and women that are twice my age trying to add me on FB....really???

"T. I. G. E. R. S. TIGERS"

Let me first explain that I was about a hair away from going to a SEC school, namely Ole Miss. But silly me stayed here for a boy, and although the boy is long gone, I have grown to love the decision I made many moons ago.

If I wasn't for him, I would have probably never attended the University of Memphis. Imagine my Dad's side of the family when they heard the news - they are all HUGE Memphis fans! (My Mom's side is the lover of Ole Miss Rebels) My grandmother, who played basketball in high school, has been a fan of the Memphis Basketball program since the mid 1950's, promptly raising us to sit in front of the TV each season to watch our team get better and better.

Now, I've told you that to tell you this....any Memphis fan can tell you about the heartbreak we received when our beloved Coach Cal decided to leave us. It wasn't until later that I finally realized that I was a TIGERS fan - not a COACH Cal fan. We have done great things before him, and we will do great things after him. Coach Pastner has shown superior effort for this team, and I see this season as a great successor for the "Coach Cal Era." The Tigers' 2010 class has already been ranked No. 2 by Scout.com, No. 2 The Sporting News, No. 2 by Rivals.com, No. 3 by ESPN and No. 3 by Prepstars.

Now, I've heard a lot of smack talking for opposing fans about how Memphis will get their butts kicked during tonight's game versus number one basketball team, Kansas. Whether or not that's true, remains to be unseen.

Win or lose, will I still be a tiger fan? Why, of course!
