I Was Just Saying Last Week...

how I thought it was odd in this day and age that gay marriage is still not acceptable across the nation.
It's not like I have a surplus of gay friends and none of my family members to my knowledge are gay. I've just always been raised to never judge anyone for any reason.
Then not even a few days later, New York finally passed the bill to legalize it.
This is an enormous step toward equality.
Because, you know, love is love.

Lets think about it.
Could you imagine not being able to marry the one that you love?

You may ask, and yes, I'm Catholic.
I believe in God.
But I also believe in a loving God, and equal opportunity God who created us all the same in His eyes. And he taught me to love, not to hate.
Some may call me liberal.
If liberal to you is being unbiased or being open minded or even being a tree hugger, then yes, I'm a liberal.

But first and foremost, I am an individual excited for the future. And proud to know some of friends can enjoy the right of marriage.

xoxo,

The only thing I question in changing marriage to include gays is- what door does this open? Does this mean plural marriages are next? The Sister Wives show on tv got me thinking. Can a person be for gay marriage but against plural marriage?
