Good News + Good News = Conflicting Good News

Ok, so I've planned a trip to the Bahamas for the end of the summer with two of my girlfriends. Sounds great, right? Sunny skies, warm beaches and clear waters.
I mean really...who WOULDN'T want to go here?!

So now you're probably wondering, what the second good news could be. Well, I was offered a opportunity to become a manager at my new job...that I've been working for a whopping THREE weeks.
 Yep, that's me...living the dream.

I'm very proud of myself for finding a position in a market that I would absolutely love to grow in. It also doesn't hurt that I adore my coworkers and bosses. And granted, I also have a couple of others also interviewing for the position, so it may just all be in the cards as to what's going to happen.

My problem is this...if I get the job, I don't know if asking for a vacation a few months later would fly with my other coworkers - and I certainly do not blame them should they think that. Ultimately I would choose the job over the vacation anyways; what's difficult is I also hate ditching my friends.

Has anyone been in a situation similar to mine? What did ya'll do? Any advice?

xoxo,

If you have planned it already, and had it in the works before you took the job I would tell your boss that. Just see what they would say especially if you have already put a deposit down. I think they would be understanding. Just be honest with them, and see what they say! Congrats on the job! That's awesome!!!:)
